Fantasy Theatre Factory
offers both Outreach Workshops for the classroom and Studio
Workshops @ The Factory Lab for young people in the community. Both of
these educational programs are designed to build valuable social skills,
stimulate creativity and innovation, and nurture an early interest in the
performing arts. Led by Fantasy Theatre Factory’s professional teaching
artists, children will explore, discover, create, develop, evaluate and
appreciate the theatre arts.
Studio Workshops @ The Factory Lab
Hey,
parents—does your child need something fun to do on the weekends? Fantasy
Theatre Factory's THE FACTORY LAB can help! FTF's theatre
workshops are a great opportunity for young people to let their creative
energies flow in a safe, nurturing environment. Show us your talent on
Saturdays at FTF’s THE FACTORY LAB!
Explore the art and craft of acting. The Factory Lab
students learn the tools of drama through creative play, theatre games,
storytelling, and acting exercises. Students will be able to use their
voice, body, and imagination more effectively for the stage and every day
life.

Outreach Workshops

Theatre Arts, Cultural Arts)
Teachers—help is on the way! Fantasy Theatre Factory’s Outreach Workshops
combine artistic expertise with core-curriculum objectives, directly
incorporating Florida Sunshine State Standards. Our professional teaching
artists develop a creative arts environment where children explore,
discover, use imaginative play, and work together in the process. Topics of
workshops vary from Drama-across-the-Curriculum, Theme-Based, Basic Acting,
Vocal Techniques, Scene Study, Basics of Costume and Scenic Design, Circus
Skills, and more! FTF’s Education Department works with you to design and
implement an arts outreach workshop that meets your program’s needs.

Art
of Reading Residency
This innovative workshop was
originally created in March 2000 for the Broward County School System and
was so incredibly successful that we now offer it statewide! The Art of
Reading Residency is guaranteed to motivate, reach, and teach students about
the reading process.

Arts Infusion Workshops
for Teachers
Fantasy
Theatre offers professional development for teachers who would like to learn
how to incorporate the arts into the core-curriculum subjects. Discover how
to create imaginative lesson plans that will reinforce unit topics, assess
student progress, and effortlessly meet the Sunshine State Standards.
Participating teachers will receive practical resources and handouts from
master teaching artists with 30+ years of educational and artistic
experience.
