SYNOPSIS
Created by Fantasy Theatre Factory to encourage listening skills and to develop a greater interest in reading.  FTF performers bring to life selections from award winning children's authors.  Music, mime, acting, comedy, and costumes enhance each story.  This is a great program for students to become involved in the reading process.  Students will race to the library for more books by these children's authors!  Program may include selections from A Terrible Day by Patricia Reilly Giff where a child's bad day becomes a good day.  Three great stories by number one children's author Judith Viorst: Rosie and Michael, about two children that discover the true meaning of friendship; The Tenth Good Thing about Barney, a child's story of acceptance and hope; and Lizzy Petufsky, a love poem from the fourth grade.  Other selections include Jack Prelutsky's Pancakes a story about a school cafeteria cook that recites poetry about pancakes and James Howe's The Day the Teacher went Bananas GRADES K-6
